dali141965 Missed Amber Tamblyn's (an acquaintance) premiere of Stephanie Daley. Ended up seeing 8mm, Coto Normal (fronted by another friend) and Alu. Bought stuff. Also bought an Alu T-shirt leading to a years long inside joke. No longer a size Medium, yet can still squeeze into that T-shirt. Have all of Alu's albums. This might be my favorite song yet. Lighter (yet still comically dark) and playful. The musicianship and vocals are exquisite. Having little Nomi in it just makes it more fun and personal.

Inspired by recent events: ‘Alu’s Not Dead’ is about life in lockdown and ultimately, surviving the seriousness of the pandemic with innocence and laughter. Not unlike the nursery rhyme ‘Ring Around the Rosie’ that children sang during the Great Plague. I find light in dark situations and that is reflected in 'Alu's Not Dead'. I hope the new song and video make you smile!
